Hollywood 2 Day Juice Diet

The Hollywood 2-Day Diet, also known as the Miracle or 48-hour Diet, claims to help you drop 10 pounds in two days. The natural blend of extracts and juices is mixed with water and consumed throughout the two day diet. Essentially a juice fast, the Hollywood 2-day Diet can help reduce bloating before a special occasion, or provide a cleanse after a period of too much junk food.

Use

    To begin the Hollywood 2-day Diet, you must purchase two 16-ounce bottles of the juice from a retail or health food store. Mix a four ounce serving of the juice with four ounces of bottled water and drink in four hour increments three times a day, ideally for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drink an additional eight ounces of water the rest of the day, helping to flush out the system and stay hydrated.

    Repeat the process for the second day, drinking the juice concentrate mixed with water three times a day. The juice is comprised of strawberry, blackberry, cranberry, apple, blueberry, and raspberry juice concentrates, as well as B-complex vitamins, and vitamins A, E, and D.

    Do not eat or drink any other foods, and refrain from alcohol or smoking to get the most health benefits. Moderate exercise is suggested such as walking.

    One 16-ounce bottle of the juice concentrate is approximately $25.

Weight Loss

    While you may lose weight on the Hollywood 2-day Diet, most loss will be water weight. The diet is ideal if you would like to drop a few pounds quickly before a special occasion; however long-term weight loss will not be achieved once you incorporate food back into the diet.

    Some concerns nutritionists have with the Hollywood 2-day Diet is the restrictive calorie content, which may cause individuals to become weak, nauseous or irritable. Take a multivitamin each day to ensure you are getting the proper amount of vitamins and minerals for nutrition.

    To save money, try a natural fruit juice fast for one to two days to experience similar results. Natural fruit contains fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, making it a healthier choice to do simple periods of fasting.
